The Qur’an is not just a book of guidance; it is the very word of Allah revealed to mankind. Reading it regularly connects the believer with their Creator, strengthens faith, and brings peace to the heart.
Every verse of the Qur’an is filled with wisdom. Allah says in the Qur’an: “This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.” (Qur’an 2:2). Reading it helps us understand what is right and wrong, guiding us to live a righteous life.
Each letter recited from the Qur’an carries a reward. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a reward, and that reward will be multiplied by ten.” (Tirmidhi). This shows how much mercy and blessing come from simply reciting.
In times of stress or sadness, reciting the Qur’an brings tranquility. Allah reminds us: “Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Qur’an 13:28). Regular reading strengthens patience, hope, and inner peace.
Beyond recitation, the Qur’an encourages reflection. Reading with understanding allows us to apply its lessons in our daily lives in how we worship, interact with others, and face challenges.
Reading the Qur’an should not be left for Ramadan alone. It is a daily companion for every Muslim. Whether in small portions or long sittings, let us make it a habit to recite, reflect, and live by its teachings.
